QUESTIONS FOR JESUS III

          Church, I am so excited about this last part of John 14 because it is a TRUTH about God’s Spirit “in” us through Jesus’ own Words. We need to recap a bit with the question from Philip and Jesus’ answer to him especially verses 16 and 17, then move on to the question from Judas (not Iscariot).

 

John 14: 16-17 (Jesus talking)

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter), that He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of TRUTH, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be “in” you.”

 

          O.K. Saints, we know that our Helper and Comforter is God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit, but are we really comprehending that He is the third part of the Trinity? (God the Father; God the Son; God the Holy Spirit.)  When Jesus said, ‘He will be “in” you’,  instead of being around His Children, as before Christs death and resurrection, Jesus meant actually abiding with our spirits to help us with our days here on earth.  God’s Spirit “in” us to lead, guide, direct, comfort, help, I could go on and on with the words that describe the Holy Spirit and the Power and Authority our Father has given us through the Spirit for bringing us through God’s Plan for eternity.  But instead of just saying it in our heads; we need to experience it for ourselves through our faith in Christ and actually giving our hearts, minds, and especially our WILLS completely over to God.  God has given us “Free Will” and He won’t “make” us do anything, we are not puppets on a string.  If we Love our Father and Creator we “WILL” want to please Him in everything we think, say, and do; that involves our wills.  As Born Again Children of God, our Hope, Faith, and Wills need to be in God’s Loving Care.  This involves allowing His Spirit to rule and reign “in” us.

 

          Church, are we really doing this or are we just giving “lip service” through our natural man.  Remember Saints, we are spirit first covered with a natural body.  Again, as I’ve said before, we need to allow (will) our natural body and mind onto the back burner and give God’s Spirit full access into our lives.

 

          Here is where the question from Judas comes into effect as a TRUTH.

 

John 14: 22-26 (paraphrased) Jesus speaking:

“Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”  Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and “WE” will come to him and make Our home with him.  He who does not love Me does not keep My Words; and the Word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s Who sent Me.  These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.  BUT the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you ALL things, and bring to your rememberance “ALL”things that I said to you.”

 

          Do you know what Church, I think we’ve forgotten or pushed aside this TRUTH and Promise from God.  I don’t think we have taken God’s Spirit “in” us sincerely enough.  I believe if we really embraced God’s Spirit “in” us we would actually walk and talk differently.

 

          I’ve been listening to a CD of Jonathan Cahn, a born again completed Jew, who I believe is a Voice from God to His People, the Jews and also the Born Again Gentiles.  (A Gentile is everyone that is not a Jew.)  And I’m not talking about religion here, Church.  I’m talking about a people and the Creation that God made. God doesn’t look at the outside appearance of mankind He looks at our spirits/hearts.  That is the REAL us.  We as God’s People have to do the same.  Jonathan Cahn is talking about ‘The Mystery of the Shemitah’; which is a Jewish Holy Day/Year that God gave to His Chosen People through Moses.  If you ever get a chance to listen or read Rabbi Cahn’s writings, I think it would Bless you in abundance if read or listened with God’s Spirit “in” you.  It is an eye-opening revelation we all need to wake us up.

 

          Something caught my attention when I was listening to Rabbi Cahn the other day.  He was talking about going back to the beginning---the book of Acts where the Holy Spirit was given to us through Jesus’ death and resurrection, as we were talking about here in John 14.

 

          Let’s go back in time and thought and wills and “see” how the disciples faith in God’s Word and His Spirit “in” them changed the world.  Really think about that Saints, we ARE God’s disciples also.  We have that “like” faith as in the disciples of the Book of Acts.  We’re just not letting our spirit-man and the Holy Spirit rule and reign as they did in the beginning.  That is OUR fault in not trusting and believing in God’s Word and Promises.

 

          Church, we have to wake up and smell, the Rose of Sheron and be enlightened, encouraged, lead and guided by God’s Spirit “in” us.  We can do this Church, I know we can.  We can make a difference for God’s People and God by having a closer relationship with Him and His Spirit.  God has a Plan Church, and no matter what we see, hear, feel in the natural we know God is Spirit and He works through the Spirit.  We need to allow----WILL----our spirit-man to lead, guide and direct us every minute of every day. It’s really not hard to say, “Yes” to Jesus and “NO” to the enemy when we know Who we are “in” the Lord.  As always Church, we need to start by:
