HEARING GOD THROUGH HIS SPIRIT
Good morning, Church. Today in my reading of the Word, the Lord gave me the verse in Mark 4 verse 9, a very small one sentence verse, but a powerfully TRUE statement that even concluded with an exclamation point at the end. (NKJ)
Mark 4:9 “And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Reading around this verse we find Jesus talking to a great multitude of people from a boat that was launched into the sea so everyone could see and “hear” Him. I know as Bible reading Children of God we all know the “Parable of the Soils”, if you don’t remember those verses please refresh your memory with Mark 4: 1-9 (Matthew 13:1-23; Luke 8: 4-15).
Now later when the people around Him and His twelve disciples asked Jesus about the parable, He said to them:
Mark 4:11-12 “And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, so that (quoting the Word here): ‘Seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand, lest they should turn and their sins be forgiven them.’ (Isaiah 6:9-10) (reading the rest of verses 3-20 helps us understand what the Lord was saying here.)
But for now let’s go back to verse eleven. The words: “know the mystery of the kingdom of God” has a reference to I Corinthians 2:10-16. (Although I believe you have to include verse 9 to understand what Paul is referring to here.
I Corinthians 2:9: (Isaiah 64:4)
“But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Now Church, listen very, very closely to the Words after that bold statement. Verses 10-16:
“But God has revealed them to us (Children of God) through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? (James 2:26) Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit Who is from God, (Romans 8:15) that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him. But we have the mind of Christ! (John 15: 15)
As a Child of God, with God’s Spirit living and abiding “in” us, we have the mind of Christ, Church! The Word just said so! The Word does not lie,” He” is the TRUTH!
So Saints, the sooner we “allow” God’s Spirit “in” us to move our hearts and minds over to our spirit-man first, instead of being in our fleshly man (I Corinthians 15: 44), the sooner God can give us the knowledge, wisdom, and power we ALREADY have “IN” Christ, to live AS Christ lived on Earth.
Depending on the Holy Spirit “in” us (Romans 8: 11) is the “only” way we, as Children of God, are going to get through this “season” in our lives. Stop looking at things through the ‘natural man’ and start ALLOWING God’s Spirit “in” us to “see” things through our spirit-man. Looking beyond the chaos to the Peace and Love from our “ABBA” Father “WILL” give us the Power and Strength we “will” need in these last days here on earth to: STAND FOR CHRIST!
Listening to God’s Spirit “in” us, is the WAY, TRUTH, LIGHT and LIFE for all of us in the right here and now! How? By:
TRUSTING AND BELIEVING IN GOD!
